Hello,

I am Martha a Visual Artist and Printmaker based in near beautiful Edinburgh by the sea.

I am a self-taught  artist from Germany who lives in Scotland and has previously resided and worked in Benin, Croatia, and France. My academic credentials include degrees in political economics, social science and marine science. My creative endeavours are driven by my insatiable curiosity as well as the delicate dance of absorbing new environments while discovering one's own place in them.

My work examines nature’s untamed force and the enticing potential of the abandoned. My intimate connection to the ocean and its inhabitants is a recurring motif in my art.

I use a variety of printmaking processes, such as polymer photogravure, relief print, and alternative methods like contact printing with botanicals. Moreover, I practice collaging, drawing and embossing. Most of my artworks are for sale.
